Positive Mitzvah 14

  Day 29Day 31

Positive Mitzvah 14: Wearing Tzitzit (Fringes)
Numbers 15:38 "And they shall make for themselves Tzitzit"

When you see a woman wearing a white dress, white cap and white shoes - you know she's a nurse.

When you pass a fellow in a blue outfit, with a silver badge, dangling a baton, you can tell he's a policeman.

Tzitzit is the Jewish uniform.

It is a four cornered garment with eight knotted fringes hanging from each corner which all Jewish men and boys must wear.

Every moment has two faces:

  1. It is a moment defined by the past from which it extends and by the future to which it leads.

  2. And it is a moment for itself, with its own meaning, purpose and life. Don't kill a moment.
